RN recently changed
continuing education partners. Beginning in 2005, RN’s
home study program is being offered in conjunction with
AHC Media LLC. AHC Media LLC is accredited as a provider
of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation and
the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses
(#10852). AHC Media LLC also has
provider status with the California BRN (Provider
# 10864). This transition should be largely invisible
to you, though you will note a different name on the
bottom of your CE certificate if the test you took was
based on a 2005 RN article.
You’ll also be interested to know
that RN will continue to process tests offered in
2003 and 2004 in conjunction with Drexel University
through June 30, 2005. Drexel University College of
Nursing & Health Professions, Division of Continuing
Nursing Education is accredited as a provider of
continuing nursing education by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The
Division has program approval through the AACN
Certification Corporation #00012093. Drexel University
College of Nursing & Health Professions, Division of
Continuing Nursing Education also has provider status
with the California BRN: Provider #CEP13661.
Please be aware, though, that as of
January 1, 2005, Drexel University no longer has provider
status in Alabama, Florida, or Iowa. However, these
states do accept nursing continuing education contact
hours from ANCC accredited providers for license renewal.
Likewise, AHC Media LLC does not have provider status in
Alabama, Florida, or Iowa; however, these states do
accept nursing continuing education contact hours from
ANCC accredited providers for license renewal.
Should you have any questions
regarding these changes, feel free to contact either
Drexel University College of Nursing & Health
Professions, Division of Continuing Nursing Education at
(800) 666-7737 (learner@drexel.edu), or
AHC Media LLC at (800) 888-3902.
Thank you for participating in RN’s
continuing education program. We look forward to serving
you in 2005 and beyond!
